McLaren’s TPC program allows the team to run older Formula 1 machinery privately (such as the MCL60) for driver training and development. Sessions are used by emerging talent such as Pato O’Ward and Alex Dunne, as well as main drivers like Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, helping them stay sharp without the pressure of a race weekend.
In 2025, McLaren secured back to back Constructors’ Championships, with Piastri playing a major role by winning 7 Grands Prix and staying in the title fight to the final round. He ultimately finished 3rd in the World Drivers’ Championship.
