2019 Ed Jones Signed Indy 500 Used Ed Carpenter Racing Scuderia Corsa IndyCar Helmet
This beautiful Arai GP7 helmet was worn by Ed Jones in the 2019 season.
Jones is the 2016 Indy Lights Champion, winning for Carlin Motorsport in his second season in the series. He joined the IndyCar Series in 2017 driving for Dale Coyne Racing, and placed third at the 2017 Indianapolis 500 in his rookie season. He left after the year to drive for Chip Ganassi Racing during the 2018 IndyCar season, scoring 2 podiums during the year.
On 17 October 2018, it was confirmed that Jones would run all non-oval events as well as the 2019 Indianapolis 500 for a joint venture between Ed Carpenter Racing and Scuderia Corsa, driving the No. 20 in the road/street events and the No. 63 in the Indy 500.
Jones, racing with Scuderia Corsa in the 2019 Indy 500, placed in the Fast 9 during qualifying, eventually placing 4th overall on the starting grid. He also topped one of the practice sessions and would eventually finish 13th during the race.
The helmet has been photo matched several times during the month of May in Indianapolis and has been signed by Jones in black marker pen. The helmet comes with his original Troy Lee Designs bag and complete with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
