2017 Fernando Alonso Original McLaren MCL32 F1 Showcar
Owning a full size Formula One car is the dream of every Formula 1 fan.
Now imagine actually owning one as associated with a 2-time F1 World Champion.
Well, this very rare opportunity is now being offered by Hall of Fame Collection, and features this 2017 MCL32 (the first McLaren to not use the MP4 prefix in the name since 1980) F1 show car as it was driven by Fernando Alonso. This car is also the first to feature a return to an orange livery for a McLaren, making it a mainstay for the team once again.
The team that season raced with Honda engines and the car came direct from McLaren’s Technology Centre in Woking, England, where it is show here in the images. Being a show car it does not come with an engine. Otherwise, it very much mirrors the race version driven by Alonso and includes many original carbon fibre body and race-used parts. This showcar is not made of wood like many of the modern ones seen and was built at the same time as the race cars back in 2017.
This car is beautifully represented in the livery it ran in the final race of the year in Abu Dhabi and would make a stunning centre piece in anyone’s F1 collection, and for a fraction of the price of the race-used version. Showcase this exquisite racecar in a business office, a memorabilia room or a fan garage, while impressing family, friends and/or clients with this stunning piece of automotive art and F1 history.
Stoffel Vandoorne drove the sister car and it is currently on display in our Berlin store inside the Smartech space in KaDaWe.
The car comes with a Hall of Fame Collection Certificate Of Authenticity
