Don't hesitate to add this your collection as this is a very unique and special Alonso/Ferrari suit.
Alonso is best known for his back-to-back World Drivers’ Championships with Renault in 2005 and 2006. He would win seven races in each of those Formula One seasons, for a total of 17 with the team. The Spaniard debuted in F1 in 2001 with Minardi, and would go on to score his first pole in his second race with Renault in 2003, in Malaysia. His first victory would then come in the Hungarian Grand Prix that same year, with his most recent win coming at his home race at Catalunya in 2013 for Scuderia Ferrari.
Alonso also won 11 F1 races while driving for the Ferrari and four with McLaren — for a total of 32 victories, which ranks him sixth all-time. His natural talent and innate ability to adapt with different teams over different time periods continues to this day with the Alpine F1 team. The perfect illustration of this was when Alonso was positioned to win the 2017 Indianapolis 500 in his maiden start, but engine trouble be felled him on Lap 179 of 200. He finished 29th after starting fifth and leading 27 laps in a McLaren-sponsored Andretti Autosport car, both of which were mightily impressive.
As of 2023 Fernando Alonso is driving with Aston Martin and is currently mounting a serious challenge to add more wins and podiums to his tally.
