Rare, one-of-a-kind, race-used Bell helmet worn by Dan Wheldon while driving for Panther Racing in the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series. The helmet was worn by Wheldon in Chicagoland (2nd place), Kentucky (3rd place) and Watkins Glen amongst other races during the 2010 season.

This helmet has a beautiful finish featuring a stylized Union Jack flag on the top, and the famous “Lionheart” mural on the back, two features which were almost always incorporated in the design of Wheldon’s helmets. The Lionheart portion refers to former King Richard riding a horse into battle. Wheldon was given this nickname by a go-kart mechanic after he was said to be driving with the "heart of a lion".

Dan Wheldon was a British IndyCar driver who won the 2005 IndyCar Series Championship as well as the 2006 Daytona Rolex 24. He was a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner (2005 and 2011) and won a total of 16 IndyCar races. He tragically lost his life in 2011 after a crash at the Las Vegas Speedway.

The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
