2009 Casey Stoner Race Used Nolan X-802 Ducati MotoGP Helmet
Casey Stoner won a pair of MotoGP World Championships, becoming one of the most popular riders of his era as he battled Valentino Rossi.
The Australian caputured Ducati's only rider's championship in 2007, then won a second title with Repsol Honda in 2011. He retired following the 2012 season with 38 career MotoGP wins and 39 poles. He recently acknowledged he battles chronic fatigue.
This Nolan X-802 helmet was used many times in the 2009 MotoGP World Championship Season. Including the Malaysian GP where it has been photo matched in practice and qualifying. The Queensland native switched to a helmet set up for wet weather as it rained for the race, and he went on to win the race. Stoner can also be seen using the helmet again in the final race weekend of the season, in Valencia Spain during practice, qualifying and race. The helmet was likely retired due to the crash damaged on the left hand side of the helmet which happened at that Valencia race (see photo match).
Casey Stoner memorabilia is very hard to obtain and this helmet was recently acquired from the personal collection of Alessandro Cicognani who at the time served as the Ducati MotoGP boss. He is pictured below with Stoner and American Nicky Hayden.
The helmet comes with a Certificate of Authenticity
