2008 Guy Martin Signed Macau GP Used Motorcycle Racing Helmet
Helmet used in 2008 season and was damaged in Macau GP practice where he crashed. Martin was knocked unconscious and had to sit out the remainder of the event.
Guy Martin's career is defined by his remarkable achievements in motorcycle road racing, particularly at the Isle of Man TT, where he earned 17 podium finishes falling short of an elusive victory, and his successful transition into television presenting and engineering record-breaking projects. He retired from professional road racing in 2017 after a career spanning over a decade, breaking his back twice amongst many other injuries. He set multiple speed records, including the fastest lap at the Isle of Man TT in 2010 with a time of 129.816 mph. His television career, launched by the 2011 documentary TT3D: Closer to the Edge, led to popular shows such as Speed with Guy Martin.
• Martin made his road racing debut in 2002 at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, where he finished second in his first appearance and went on to win the Cock o’ the North and International Gold Cup races that year.
• He made his Isle of Man TT debut in 2004, finishing seventh in the Senior race with a lap speed of 122.10 mph, just 20 seconds from a podium.
• In 2005, Martin achieved his first TT podium finish, finishing third in the Senior TT by just 1.31 seconds, marking a breakthrough year in his career.
• He recorded a then-second-fastest lap at the Isle of Man TT in 2010 with a speed of 129.816 mph, a record that stood until later in his career.
• Martin competed in the Le Mans 24-Hour World Endurance Championship in 2013, helping his team secure a second-place finish.
• He set the record for the fastest speed on a Triumph motorcycle at 274.2 mph in 2013.
