2006 Jacques Villeneuve & Alex Zanardi Used Sauber BMW F1 Steering Wheel
This steering wheel was race-used by Jacques Villeneuve during the the 2006 F1 season while driving for the BMW Sauber F1 Team.
Villeneuve had a unique way of using a moldable blue material to form perfect handgrips for himself. The wheel was then specially modified with throttle hand control so Alex Zanardi could use it when testing the specially modified BMW Sauber F1.06 at the November post-season F1 testing.
This would be Villeneuve's last year with a racing seat in Formula 1. He would then go on to race in NASCAR, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and most recently in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The wheel comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
