2003 Jacques Villeneuve Signed United States GP Race Used BAR Honda F1 Helmet.
The helmet is marked 2003-14 and a USA flag decal. He used it at the US GP where he ultimately retired on lap 63 with engine failure.
The helmet was then set up for Lucky Strike branding for the Japanese GP but wasn't used as the US Grand Prix proved to Jacques Villeneuve's final race for BAR Honda as reserve driver Takuma Sato (recently signed by BAR for 2004) stepped in for his debut race with BAR at his home race.
Uniquely the helmet was used in Japan in a medical extraction practice by the F1 medical team. The helmets interior neck roll was removed during the medical simulation and not replaced. The neck roll is removed during driver extraction, so that the helmet can be easily slipped off the head without the resistance that could possibly cause further injury.
Villeneuve didn't appear back on the grid until 2004 the last 3 races when he replaced Jarno Trulli. He then signed for BMW Sauber for 2005/06 Seasons.
The helmet comes direct from Villeneuve's personal collection and has been signed by him.
You could own JV's last ever used BAR helmet as part of your collection today.!
The helmet comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
