2002 Patrick Carpentier Cleveland GP IndyCar Trophy
This incredible piece of racing history comes from Patrick Carpentier’s win at the 2002 Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland, held on July 14 at Burke Lakefront Airport. It was his first CART win on a road course—his first-ever CART victory came the year before at the Michigan 500 on the oval.
During his career in IndyCar & Champ Car, he had a combine 157 starts, scoring 5 wins, 24 podiums, as well as two third place championship finishes in 2002 and 2004. The long-time Champ Car driver switched to the IndyCar Series in 2005. Later moving on to Grand Am Road Racing in 2007 with a best finish of 2nd in the 24 Hours of Daytona. After a few NASCAR races in 2007, he moved full-time into the series in 2008, and part time in 2009-2016.
A very unique winning keepsake from Carpentier's open wheel career.
