2001 Jim Guthrie Original Simpson IndyCar Helmet
Simpson helmet worn by Indy Racing League driver Jim Guthrie. Guthrie raced in the newly formed IndyCar series winning one race at Phoenix Raceway in 1996
This helmet was to be Guthrie’s race day helmet for his return from retirement in 2001. Unfortunately Guthrie, who was self sponsored, crashed in practise and was not able to qualify due to lack of funds.
This Simpson race ready helmet has Guthrie’s stunning design and was painted by Bullseye Designs. The helmet would look great in any racing memorabilia collection.
The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
