2000 Dario Franchitti Michigan 500 Race Used Team Green IndyCar Helmet
The helmet shows great use and has been photo matched to his 3rd place finish in the Michigan 500. The visor has Road American Pole documented on it as well.
The Scotsman had a more than impressive career in IndyCar, to say the least. He was a 4-time IndyCar Series Champion (2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011) and a 3-time Indy 500 champion (2007, 2010 and 2012). His IndyCar race record stands at 31 wins, 89 podiums and 34 poles out of 256 race starts, a tally which puts him in a tie for ninth on the all-time wins list with former teammate Paul Tracy.
He also saw success in Sports Car racing, winning the LMP2 class with Andretti Green Racing at the 2007 12 Hours of Sebring. Prior to the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, he joined Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Juan Pablo Montoya, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas and won the Rolex 24 at Daytona in a Lexus-Riley.
The helmet comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
