Helmet was used by former sprint car driver and land speed record holder Terry Nish. Nish started racing sprints in the 50’s but had a passion for land speed records as a result of watching these events as a kid. So, after a break from the track, he decided to get back behind the wheel again with land speed record cars. During the mid 1980’s Nish, along with his sons Jeff, T.J. and Mike, set up Nish Motorsports and set about breaking land speed records. This helmet is one Nish used while setting a speed record at Bonneville in 1998. Terry carried on with building cars and running his team right up to his death in 2018. This helmet comes personally signed, dated and documented by Terry Nish.

This helmet comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection. The helmet is one of 170 helmets which were on display at the famous Union Jack Pub in Speedway (Indianapolis) Indiana. Ron Burton is a famous artist who often traded his paintings with drivers for one of their helmets. We are proud to offer this unique collection of many one-of-a-kind helmets and artwork.
