This Dale Earnhardt Jr Coca Cola helmet is one of three made by Simpson Racing Products for Dale Jr to use at the 1998 NASCAR Thunder Special Motegi 500 in Japan. This race was a historic event due to it being the first-ever NASCAR race to be held in Japan as well as being the first time Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earhardt Jr. raced against each other with the same Richard Childress Racing Team.

The helmet still has original radio attached and which came directly from Bill Simpson's private collection.
