This helmet was last worn by Villeneuve at the Japanese Grand Prix, the penultimate race, of the tightly contested 1997 season. Since Villeneuve kept his Jerez helmet for his personal collection, making this the last race used helmet from the Championship winning season available to collectors. The helmet comes as it was last used with the radio still installed and the visor has been signed by Villeneuve in silver paint pen. 

Securing a race-used helmet from any of the 34 Formula 1 World Champions is incredibly rare, as these championship-season helmets are among the most coveted collectibles in the sport. This particular helmet, worn during one of the most thrilling seasons in F1 history, would make an extraordinary addition to any Formula 1 collection.
