1996 Mike Nish Signed Bonneville Record Worn Helmet
Helmet used by American driver Mike Nish, who competed in the CART IndyCar Championship series, but is best known for competing in world land speed record events. The Nish family were renowned for land speed records and had varied careers in other racing as well. Nish joined the family firm in 1991. With his father Terry and his two brothers they broke over 10 World Land Speed records and Nish himself won the 2007 Hot Rod Trophy for his efforts at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Nish has traveled at over 420 mph in many past attempts. This helmet has been personally signed, dated and speed documented by Mike Nish himself.
This helmet comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection. The helmet is one of 170 helmets which were on display at the famous Union Jack Pub in Speedway (Indianapolis) Indiana.
