1994 Nigel Mansell Long Beach 2nd Place Race Used Newman Haas Racing IndyCar Helmet
Arai helmet worn by Nigel Mansell in the 1994 CART Championship season helmet. It has been photo matched to his second place finish in the Grand Prix of Long Beach. Mansell, who was at the time the reigning F1 Drivers’ Champion (1992), would also go on to win the CART IndyCar World Series in 1993. He became the first driver to win the CART title in his debut season, making him the only driver to hold both the F1 World Drivers’ Championship and the American open-wheel National Championship simultaneously. In fact, at the season opener in 1993 at Surfers Paradise Australia, Mansell became the first “rookie” to take pole position and win in his first race. In 1994 he would drive both a full season in IndyCar and 4 races in F1 where he would win the Australian Grand Prix. The helmet comes straight from Nigel Mansell's personal collection, the next collection it features in could be your own collection! This very rare collectable comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. (hand signed race used visor also available in one of our other listings)
