1991 Paul Tracy First Penske Racing Test Used IndyCar Helmet

1991 marked Paul Tracy’s first year in IndyCar, and it took only half a season for his talent to be recognized by one of the biggest names in racing, Penske Racing. By the 11th race of his rookie IndyCar season, Tracy had made the switch from Dale Coyne Racing to Penske.

Paul has confirmed that this helmet was worn during his first Penske test. After the test, the team requested that he no longer use a green helmet, leading him to switch to the blue helmet design he became best known for throughout his career.
