1986 Wally Dallenbach Jr IMSA Corvette Race Worn Suit
Race suit worn by IMSA, TransAm and NASCAR star Wally Dallenbach Jr. The suit was used during the 1986 sports car season where Dallenbach Jr. was running in two championships, Trans Am and the IMSA GT Championship.
It shows all the signs of a well raced used suit with oil staining on the back, after extensive stints at the wheel in long endurance races piloting Chevy Corvette GTP and Trans-Am cars. Dallenbach Jr. would go on to earn four class wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona as well as three class wins at the 12 Hours of Sebring later on in his career.
It’s also from the period in which Dallenbach Jr. would win back to back TransAm Championships in the 1985 and 1986 seasons.
