This is a front wing end plate from the John Player Special 98T Lotus, driven by the legendary Ayrton Senna during the 1986 Formula One season when he raced for Lotus.

Senna is arguably the greatest driver in Formula One history, and his career likely would have stacked up even better had he not perished in the fateful 1994 crash at Imola, at the young age of 34.

With three World Championships to his name (1988, 1990, and 1991), Senna also finished as the runner-up in 1989 and 1993. He won 41 races (fifth all-time) and claimed 65 pole positions (third), but it was his unrivaled qualifying dominance over a three-year span that is unlikely to ever be repeated.
