1983 Niki Lauda Race Used Marlboro McLaren F1 Helmet
Amazing original race helmet worn by F1 legend, Niki Lauda during the 1983 F1 season.
He was a three-time F1 World Drivers’ Champion, winning in 1975, 1977 and 1984. Thus becoming the only driver in F1 history to have been Drivers’ Champion for both Ferrari and McLaren, two of the sport’s most successful constructors. His F1 record stands at 171 starts resulting in 25 wins, 24 poles, 24 fastest laps and 54 podiums.
Lauda was also pivotal in convincing Lewis Hamilton to join at that point, the not too successful Mercedes F1 Team, which then resulted in one of the most dominant winning streaks in the sports history.
The Austrian driver was seriously injured in a well documented crash at the 1976 German Grand Prix, that later inspired the movie “Rush”.
An incredible opportunity to acquire a piece of F1 history.
The helmet comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
