1979 ‘The Glen’ Jody Scheckter Gilles Villeneuve Signed Ferrari F1 Limited Edition Art Print

‘The Glen’ is a rare limited edition print depicting Ferrari teammates and good friends Jody Schechter and Gilles Villeneuve. The original artwork was painted by artist Chuck Queener in commemoration of the two Ferrari drivers' domination of the 1979 Formula One World Championship. Schechter would win the title from teammate Villeneuve by a mere four points. Villeneuve would win the 15th and final race of the season at the Watkins Glen (‘The Glen’) race circuit in Upper New York State thus giving both drivers three wins each over the season. Ferrari would go on to win the Constructor's Championship title as well that year.

This print contains portrait images of both drivers, with Scheckter piloting his Ferrari 312T4 and a pensive Villeneuve sitting in his cockpit. What makes this print all the more unique is that it is personally signed by both drivers. Collectors will know that Gilles Villeneuve’s signature is a very rare one and, therefore, is highly sought after. The print comes double matted in a metal frame with anti-glare glass, and is approximately 60 x 50 cm in size.
