A very rare Gillmore/Foyt Racing cold weather down jacket that was issued to and worn by team members sometime during the 1978 to 1980 period. This particular example belonged to loyal pit crew mechanic Cecil Taylor who was employed by the team throughout its existence (1973 to 1984).

The Swingster manufactured blue jacket has Gilmore lettering patches on the pocket flaps and Gilmore/Foyt patches sewn onto the right arm and chest. The left chest has a Gilmore ‘G’ patch with Cecil’s name chain-stitched just above, and the left-arm has a 'Stars and Stripes' patch applied to it. There are four stars on the collar that represent A.J. Foyt's four Indy 500 wins. The back of the jacket has eye-catching chain-stitched ‘Gilmore/Foyt Racing’ lettering, and just below this is a large A.J. Foyt Enterprises ‘Coyote’ embroidered patch. The jacket is in excellent condition for its vintage and use. There are no tears, rips or stains and all the press stud fasteners are present and working. It is sized as a Large on both labels.

This really cool and rare piece of IndyCar racing memorabilia, from a very successful team and legendary driver, would be a great addition to any collection.

The jacket comes with a full Certificate Of Authenticity.
