Over the course of his career, Dan Gurney competed across numerous motorsport disciplines, including Formula One, the USAC Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, sports car racing, NASCAR, Trans-Am, and several other major racing series.

Gurney won 4 Formula One Grands Prix across 11 seasons. In endurance racing, he claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967 with Ford and the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1959 with Ferrari. In Champ Car, he competed for more than nine years, recording 7 wins, 16 podium finishes, and 10 pole positions. No matter the series, Gurney consistently found success.

Dan Gurney was known for his love of cats and frequently incorporated feline imagery into his racing suits, helmets, and team branding. The best-known example is the All American Racers (AAR) logo, introduced in 1966, which features a stylized cat motif similar to the patch found on this suit. The design reflected speed and agility while becoming a distinctive part of Gurney’s personal identity.

This incredibly rare Dan Gurney racing suit comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
