Choose options
This suit was worn and photo matched to the 1968 F1 season and at the Canadian Grand Prix while driving the stunning Eagle car for Anglo American Racers, a team founded in 1964 by Dan Gurney and fellow legend, Carroll Shelby. The suit was last matched to 1969 Monterey Grand Prix Can-Am race. Gurney qualified 4th in his McLaren for this race.
Dan Gurney was not only one of the greatest drivers of his era (winning at Le Mans, as well as in Formula 1 in a car he designed himself and finishing 2nd place at the Indianapolis 500 twice), but he was also recognized as a pioneer in motorsports safety and innovation. Besides his many racing achievements, Gurney was the first driver to start the tradition of spraying champagne on the podium, and was the first driver to wear a full-face helmet at the highest levels of racing in both IndyCar and F1.
The suit comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
