Dan Wheldon was a British IndyCar driver who won the 2005 IndyCar Series Championship as well as the 2006 Daytona Rolex 24. He was a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner (2005 and 2011) and won a total of 16 IndyCar races. He tragically lost his life in 2011 after a crash at the Las Vegas Speedway.

This rare helmet design was one of two designs done for the 2008 Chicago race. The helmet has not used in the race but is a fantastic design with a beautiful blue iridium visor that was used and signed by the late Dan Wheldon.

The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
