1995 Richard Burns Rally of Thailand Trophy
Trophy awarded to British World Rally Championship pairing of Richard Burns and his co-driver Robert Reid while driving their 555 sponsored Subaru Impreza to a third-place finish in the International Rally of Thailand in 1995. The pair finished just five seconds behind eventual winner Tommi Mäkinen over the 400 km gravel course.
Burns, who won the World Rally Championship in 2001 and was a runner up the two previous years, was just reaching his peak as a top rally driver when he was suddenly struck down with a serious illness. Tragically Burns would pass away in 2005.
The trophy is mounted on a wooden base and has a plaque that has the printed inscription that says, International Rally of Thailand 1995, Phrae 2-4 December 1995, 3rd Overall (Driver).
The trophy comes with a full Certificate Of Authenticity.
