1987 Ayrton Senna Signed Bell Camel Team Lotus Replica F1 Helmet

Very unique opportunity to acquire a replica helmet that is signed by Ayrton Senna. The helmet was signed on the crown in silver marker by the 3 x World Champion and dated 1992. Former Lotus mechanic and tire man, C Hicks (who worked there throughout Senna's time with the team) had the helmet signed by Senna at the 1992 British Grand Prix, just after Senna had qualified 3rd on the grid.

The Bell helmet is professionally painted to be a beautiful replica of the one used by the great Ayrton Senna for the 1987 F1 season. It is decorated in Senna’s iconic color and design scheme which is comprised of a yellow base overlaid with green and blue bands, all representing the Brazilian national colors. This would be the scheme that he would wear throughout his exceptional career. The helmet bears the Camel logo on the top front and on both lower sides. Senna’s main sponsor’s, Banco Nacional of Brazil, lettering and logo are on its chin, as well as on either side of the helmet’s crown. On the visor’s blue sun-strip you’ll find the team’s engine supplier Honda branding. The interior of the helmet is in the period correct beige colored fabric. Some of the decals were placed on the helmet after the clear coat was applied, which is exactly how Senna preferred them.
