1968 Hill / Andretti / Unser / Foyt Signed Indy 500 Start Original Ron Burton 18 x 25 Print
This rare print of the original Ron Burton artwork depicting the start of the Indy 500 is surely a one-of-a kind-piece. Not only is it from the artist Ron Burton's personal collection but it has been signed by all eight of the pictured Indy 500 drivers, plus the team owner of the lead car.
With five of these drivers having won the Indianapolis 500, and two others becoming National Champions, it is fair to say these were all the "Big Boys" of the '68 race.
The print has been signed with period correct signatures so it was likely signed in 1969. Ron Burton can been seen with this print and the '68 winner Bobby Unser.
The print has been signed by:
Bobby Unser (1968, 1975 and 1981 Indy 500 winner),
Graham Hill (1966 Indy 500 winner),
Joe Leonard (1971 and 1972 National Champion),
Al Unser (1970, 1971, 1978 and 1987 Indy 500 winner),
AJ Foyt (1961, 1964, 1967 and 1977 Indy 500 winner),
Mario Andretti (1969 Indy 500 winner),
Roger McCluskey (1973 National Champion) ,
Lloyd Ruby (7-time race winner)
and Andy Granatelli (1969 Indy 500 winning car owner).
This is a very unique and historical piece that is signed by the some of the biggest names in the sport's history, many of which are sadly no longer with us.
The print comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
