During the 1967 F1 season Lotus and Clark used three completely different cars and engines. The Lotus 43 performed poorly at the opening South African Grand Prix, so Clark used an old Lotus 33 at the following Monaco Grand Prix, which was race number 2 in the 11 race F1 season. Clark would battle heroically from 14th all the way to 4th place, but had to retire from the race after crashing on lap 43 due to a suspension failure. Only 6 of the original 16 drivers would finish the event-filled race which included the tragic death of Ferrari driver Lorenzo Bandini.

This is the nose from that very Lotus 33!

Interestingly, this was the last Monaco GP run over 100 laps and was also the last F1 race where the iconic straw bales would be used as trackside barriers. This is most notably seen in the filming of the Movie "Grand Prix" which came out just a year earlier in 1966.

Jim Clark, who won the 1963 and 1965 F1 World Championships, was a versatile driver who also competed in sports cars, touring cars and in the Indianapolis 500, which he won in 1965. He was famously associated with Colin Chapman and the Lotus marque.

Memorabilia from Jim Clark is exceedingly rare and is not readily available on the market. Here's your chance to add this historic piece to your collection today!!

The nose comes complete with a large printed 18 x 12 image of Clark looking at his damaged Lotus (which is an exact photo match). A Hall of Fame Collection Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.
