1954 Juan Manual Fangio Signed Winner French GP Daimler Benz AG 8.5 x 6.5 F1 Photograph
This 8.5 x 6.5 inch picture was taken during the 1954 French Grand Prix at Reims. This was the debut of the closed streamlined body on the Mercedes W196 later called Type Monza. Fangio (the #18 car in the photo) won the race and his teammate Karl Kling (pictured in the #20 car) came in second. Fangio won a total of 3 times in this closed body car and it remains the only closed body car to ever have won an F1 race. The photo comes from the Daimler-Benz archive and it has a great Fangio autograph in blue marker pen.
