1950's, 60's Vintage race helmet and suit
A really nice set of vintage helmet and race suit/overall from the mid 50’s or early 60’s as used on the American dirt, midget and oval tracks back in the day.
The suit/overall is a Hintchman type white cotton drill with black arm and leg stripes. It has the zipper chest pockets and an easy buckle belt. It also has the name ‘Jim’ on the left chest and shows signs of heavy race use with oil staining.
The black peaked cork helmet has the leather inner padding with leather back of the neck protector, ear flaps and chin strap. Shows age and heavy wear.
A great set to display in any Indy, Sprint car or NASCAR collection.
