1995 Joachim ‘Jo’ Winkelhock, German Touring Car Championship helmet
Open faced Arai helmet used by German Jo Winkelhock, a former F1 and accomplished Touring/Endurance Sportscar driver.
Winkelhock wore this helmet during the 1995 German Touring Car Championship driving a Team Schnitzer BMW 318is. He racked up six wins and two second place finishes on his way to winning the Championship. He also used this helmet while winning the 1996 South African Touring car Championship the Rainbow Cup.
Winkelhock was also a British Touring Car Champion and a winner at both the Le Mans 24 hours and Spa 24 Hours races
Great looking helmet painted by Schmid Designs in yellow with two black stripes edged in red running around it. Team suppliers Konig and Michelin decals have been applied to the helmet. It comes as last worn by Winkelhock with full radio and microphone still fitted to the helmet.
It has also been personally signed by Jo Winkelhock and comes with a full Certificate of Authenticity.
