1989 Ayrton Senna Championship Season McLaren F1 Suit
Original Stand 21 Ayrton Senna, McLaren Honda Suit from the 1989 season where Senna and Prost had one of the greatest battles in Formula One history.
During that season Senna would take six Grand Prix victories as well as a dominant 13 poles in 16 races.
The championship came to a controversial end when the McLaren teammates Senna and Prost collided, resulting in the Frenchman’s retirement from the race. Senna however, continued with assistance from the Marshalls who push started him back the race. He then went on to have the most brilliant drive of his career, finishing first but ultimately being disqualified as it was ruled he shortcut the chicane when joining the race after the collision, resulting in Senna not completing the full race distance.
